Diction, Tone and Figurative Language

Wangari uses the tone of her voice and writing to put things across.  She wrote her Nobel Peace Prize speech for that moment, and uses language that she knows will affect people at the moment.  Her speech probably wouldn't be as great if she were to just say it at any time but the way she says it is perfect.  She uses a lot of imagery and allusions to show people how she feels about this.  She has a way to make you believe what she is saying is true.  That to me, is a correct rhetorical analysis.

  2. I personally think that imagery used in writing is really great. I'm a pretty visual person myself, and you don't come across actual visuals in written pieces, so it's pretty intriguing when writers use it in their own work. It really helps me read the article with a sense of what's going on in it.
